Frequently Asked Questions > Do I need ShipRush for UPS or UPS WorldShip?

Glossary Item Box

Shipper can use either ShipRush for UPS from Z-Firm or UPS WorldShip to print UPS labels. There are differences in cost and features.

Cost

ShipRush for UPS comes in 2 flavors: Basic and Pro. ShipRush for UPS Basic does not require a daily pickup account, while ShipRush for UPS Pro does. UPS WorldShip also requires a daily pickup account. Since UPS charges a weekly fee for the daily pickup account, the least expensive option is ShipRush for UPS Basic. The most expensive option is ShipRush for UPS Pro. And UPS WorldShip falls in between.

Shipper Platinum Edition includes a ShipRush for UPS Pro license for 5 computers on the same network.

Features

As a standalone package, UPS WorldShip supports more shipping options than ShipRush for UPS such as UPS Freight. However Shipper cannot take advantage of those additional features. The integration between Shipper and ShipRush allows Shipper to use every ShipRush for UPS option including electronic scale integration and customized customs documentation.

1Shipper, ShipRush for UPS, and UPS WorldShip can verify the destination address, but only Shipper and ShipRush will correct the address. UPS WorldShip will not correct the destination address when it is imported using the XML Auto Import feature. If UPS WorldShip can determine that the address is undeliverable, it will simply fail to print the label and you will see the error in Shipper.

Shipper's address correction feature can be used with either ShipRush for UPS or UPS WorldShip. Shipper can verify and correct the billing, warehouse, and destination address before it is sent to either ShipRush or WorldShip.
