Version 1.4.9 - November 5, 2007
There are 2 big changes in this release: 1) Added Shipper Service for StoreFront 7.0, and 2) Removed the requirement to create a user account using the Shipper Service Configuration Page for stores that include role-based authentication (basically all but StoreFront 6).
Version 1.4.8 - October 18, 2007
Fixed the few small bugs that have cropped up since 1.4.5 was released. Versions 1.4.6 and 1.4.7 were never released.
The significant change only affects Shipper Service for BVC5. Starting with release 1.4.8, the carrier information that is downloaded from the store will include both the carrier name and the name of the shipping method that the customer selected. For example, let's say that you have 2 shipping methods called FedEx Standard and FedEx Expedited, and that both methods are identical except that FedEx Expedited includes a $10 surcharge to provide expedited handling.
In previous versions of Shipper Service for BVC5, only the carrier and service would have been downloaded regardless of which shipping method was selected, and the shipping department would not know if they should expedite the handling or not. In this version of Shipper Service for BVC5, both the carrier and shipping method name are included:
Old: FedEx / Ground
New: FedEx (FedEx Expedited) / Ground
Note that this will break any Shipper service assignments that depend on the old shipment carrier text. You will need to update the service assignments (Tools > Options > More Settings > Service Assignments) or simply re-assign the services (Edit > Prepare Shipment > save the assignment).

Shipper Service for BVC2004
Added support for the order status change email. If Shipper Service changes the shipping status, this will trigger an order status change. This in turn will cause the order status email to be sent to the customer if you have configured your site this way. Similarly, if Shipper Service also changes the order payment status, it will trigger a second order status change.

Problem: Shipments that are processed then later voided in UPS WorldShip are displayed as conflicts. Also shipments processed in UPS WorldShip are recorded with ShippingType.None. [BVC2004]
Fix: The correct ShipmentType is recorded. This also removes the conflict.
1412: Order marked complete when only one shipment is processed
Problem: An order with multiple shipments is marked fully shipped if one shipment is processed. [BVC2004]
Fix: If any shipments remain unshipped the order is marked partially shipped.

Problem: Shipper reports an unhandled error if the underlying store does not respond to web service calls. [BVC2004]
Fix: The fact that an error occurred in the underlying store is announced to the person running Shipper with a recommendation that the store be checked.

Problem: The current version of Shipper Service can not retrieve the shipment information if the order number is not numeric. [BVC2004]
Fix: If the order number can not be converted to an integer the order ID will be used instead.

Problem: Shipper Service makes calls to web services running on the same server during processing. If the server can not resolve the URL of the web service, the underlying connection is closed. [BVC2004]
Fix: Add the server hostname to the hosts file on the server.

Starting in version 1.3.0, ShipToAttention always holds the person's name and ShipToCompany always holds the company name, even if it is blank.
