The Shipper Service installer is delivered electronically as a download link or as an email attachment. The installer is a self-extracting program. When you run the installer, it will extract the files for Shipper Service and place them in a folder on your computer. You will need to move them to your web site. If you have purchased a license, you will receive a separate license file (also via a download link or as an email attachment). The license file should also be copied to your web site. If you do not have a license file, Shipper Service will run in trial mode for at least 30 days.

Web sites with a shared SSL certificate often have two bin folders: one for accessing the site with the HTTP protocol and one for accessing the site with the HTTPS protocol (often called SSL). If your site has two bin folders and you are unsure which one Shipper Service will use, copy the new files to both bin folders on your web site. |

ASP.NET may get "confused" if someone is accessing your site at the same time that you are copying files to the bin folder. If this happens you will see a server error when you try to access some pages on your site. To fix it, make a trivial change (such as adding a space to the end of a line) to the web.config file in the root directory of your site. This will force ASP.NET to reload all the files from the bin folder and correct the error. |

You are not required to use a folder named services. You can copy the files from the services folder on your computer to any folder on your web site. Regardless of what you call it, the destination folder you use is referred to as the services folder throughout this documentation. |
