Shipping Rate Provider Suite Free Ground Shipping Sample

This sample shows how to use the Shipping Rate Provider Suite for BVC5 to provide free ground shipping for a single product.

Steps

1. Create a new shipping method called Ground using the UPS provider:
   1. Select the Ground shipping type.
2. Create a new shipping method called Everything Else using the UPS provider:
   1. Select every other UPS shipping method you want to offer.
3. Create a new shipping method called UPS Ground using the Package Rules provider. This shipping method will calculate free shipping for one product (SKU = "DEV1") and use UPS Ground for all other products. Either way, the suggested packages will be configured to ship via UPS Ground.
   1. Select UPS / Ground as the Suggested Service.
   2. Create a new packaging rule called Free^†:
      Criteria: Total Item SKU Contains DEV1
   3. Create a new shipping cost rule:
      When Packaging Name = "Free", Cost = 0.
   4. Change the default shipping cost rule to use the rate from "Ground".

^† Change DEV1 to the SKU of your product or use any other criteria you want to select the free products.
