ANN: Shipper 1.3.4 Maintenance Release
I just posted Shipper 1.3.4 in the downloads area. This free maintenance release includes support for the new address export feature in Galaxy Ship. This means that if you edit the mailing address within Galaxy Ship, the new address will be picked up by Shipper which will send it back to your store.
This may not always work the way you expect.
Galaxy Ship (and Dazzle) use a free-form address editor. This means that after printing the label, Galaxy Ship knows 5 things about the address: 1) the country, 2) the zip code, 3) the state, 4) the city, and 5) everything else. There can be up to 6 lines of information in the “everything else” part. Shipper will use up to 4 of those lines as shown in this table.
| Number of lines in "everything else" |
| 1 |
2 |
3 |
4 |
| Address Line 1 |
Attention Address Line 1 |
Attention Address Line 1 Address Line 2 |
Attention Company Address Line 1 Address Line 2 |
If there is anything in lines 5 or 6, they are ignored by Shipper.
Shipper 1.3.4 is compatible with Shipper Service 1.3.2 and above.
