Shipper System Overview

The Shipper system automates DHL, FedEx, UPS, and USPS shipment processing by automating the following steps:

1. Pull pending shipments from your store.
2. Prepare the shipments for processing.
3. Process the shipments using carrier software.
4. Send tracking information, ship date, and corrected addresses back to your store.

1. Pull pending shipments from your store

No more cut-and-paste or complicated export routines. Just click one button and Shipper will download all your pending shipments. You can even automate the download so that Shipper always has the current list of pending shipments. Once the shipments are in Shipper you can print invoices, pull-sheets, packings slips and more.

2. Prepare the shipments for processing

Shipper supports multiple carriers, all at the same time. Drag and drop shipments to the carrier you are using...that's it! You do not have to export any files or worry about naming anything. Once you show Shipper the carriers and services you use, it will automatically prepare shipments for you.

3. Process the shipments using carrier software

Use the carrier software to print the labels and documents required for your shipments. This is usually a 1 click process: enter the order number or shipment id and then click on Print. Some carriers support even batch processing.

4. Send tracking information back to your store

With on click, you send the tracking information, ship date, and corrected addresses back to your store. Or automate the upload so that your store is always up-to-date.

Shipper also works offline. For example, you can download all the pending shipment details to a laptop, then disconnect from the internet and prepare all your shipments. When you are done, you reconnect to the internet, assign tracking numbers, and then synchronize with your store. All the tracking information will be recorded and new shipments will be downloaded.

Shipper System Components

The Shipper system has two components:

• Shipper is a Windows program that you install on your shipping computer along with the carrier software.
• Shipper Service is a web site program that you install on your web site along with your store software.

Shipper communicates with Shipper Service to download pending shipment and upload tracking information. Each copy of Shipper can work with an unlimited number of web sites, though each web site needs to have Shipper Service installed. Similarly multiple computers can connect to Shipper Service as long as each computer has Shipper installed.

Licensing

Shipper is licensed by computer. You must own one license for each computer that will run Shipper. After your order is processed, you will be issued a license file for your computer. After installing the license file, Shipper will prompt you to activate the license. Once activated, the license can only be used on that computer.

Shipper Service is licensed by web site. You must own one license for each store that you access from Shipper. After your order is processed, you will be issued a license file that must be saved on your web site. The license file will only work on the Licensed Web Site that you enter when you order your license.

The Shipper Starter Kit is a convenient package if you are just getting started. The Starter Kit includes one Shipper license and one Shipper Service license.

Additional Licenses

If you want to run Shipper from additional computers, please purchase one Shipper License for each additional computer. If you want to use Shipper with additional stores (web sites), please purchase one Shipper Service License for each additional store.
